Disappointment revisited

Like many photographers, when I have a special day of magical light, I shoot quite a few pictures, and on one's "first cut" you miss some good ones. These are photos that on a "second cut", I originally liked in black and white but like more in color, or a couple of shots I missed their merit.

I think your b&w is by far the best of the group. Good job.

I agree, Jack. I think color is way overused as a choice as actually takes away from the drama and impact of many photos. Unless color itself is an important aspect of the shot it should be avoided as much as possible. Ansel Adams and PalePictures works are perfect examples. Colorizing "Duel" with Dennis Hopper and "Psycho" by AH were big mistakes.

I really love the B&W photo. It looks so dramatic and a real eye catcher.

The best of a good lot of photos: the black and white all the way.

Ohhh yeah. Those conditions are really tricky, so I know what you mean by "first cut." I've been surprised more than once by what I had missed the first time.

B&w is my pick
