Recently, I spent a few days in Jacksonville, FL and had nothing to do at night so I took my camera out and shot some photos around town. The weather was crummy the entire time I was there (40F and rain) so not only was I fighting the cold and wind but a very low cloud ceiling that in some shots gave quite a bit of sky shine. I have looked at these so much to try and figure out what to do, I am at a point where I am not sure I like them as is and have found nothing PP in LR that I have liked so far. Any thoughts, comments or ideas would be appreciated. The first shot has the least sky shine, the second two have quite a bit. Thanks.

Very beautiful. I like all of them.

Just darkened this one right down...try it on the others and see what happens...tried them all but the one that didn't work had a 30 second exposure, this might be too long? I did a whole series of night shots last year and my exposures were all from 8-12 seconds

At first, I was not sure what you meant by saying "ski shine". Now that I've seen the pictures, I think I know. That is usually the "best light" to shoot in (when shooting night scenes). I'm talking about the 15min. window (Twi-light), before the sky turns black totally. But usually it will show as a nice, very saturated blue, so may I asked what your white balance setting was for these shots? Maybe it was hazy (above in the sky) and the lights of the city reflected 'em with what you see (an almost washed out gray-maybe with a little orange).
here is one that I did....just lowered the brightness somewhat in photoshop

I hate to say it, but unfortunately, I don't think there is anything you could do in LR to improve upon them. I like them just the way they are. Beautiful shots!

Can't do much I am afraid. Ran these two through Elements 12. Cheers, Brian
I liked the bridge picture so much I had to play. Here it is with just the sky changed.
blue bridge black sky
Darkened sky with the levels control. (moved left triangle to the right to darken mid dark levels. Then the color of the bridge looked too saturated so set saturation down a bit.

Neutral density filter next time? Something light maybe?
Another thought. Most architectural subjects look better with the perspective straightened out. This and the other changes I made can
be done in Elements 10,11 or 12.

Rick, that is precisely what I was trying for. What changes did you make?
