Juvenile Yellow Crowned Night Heron

Here is one in a much hotter setting in Texas.

I was hanging out on a bench while the bird was hanging out in the water close to me. I wish I could have gotten down to its eye level. The bokeh'd out green behind the bird is the duckweed that covered every square inch of the water surface.
I also have a similar photo of an adult YCNH that is something of a selfie since I am silhouetted in its eye.
