what camera are you using? May I suggest working on your focus, the samples posted all seem to be slightly OOF.
The rose is your strongest of the samples posted, but has a few issues that need to be worked on to take it to the next level (blown areas, focus), but I do like the crop.

Is there a way to set it to single focal point? You will gain so much more control if you tell the camera what is important and needs to be in focus. That one thing will move your photography forward by leaps and bounds.

I was on Mt Lemmon in June 2009, up past the ski resort, up by the TV towers. There was snow up there in June. :shock:
