I tried to find an image of this duck and could not. The female has correct coloring, but the male must be a hybrid and still has the distinctive Mallard tail curl.
Neither could I. Good shot though.

Trial-n-error It looks like you might have a cross between a Canvaseback and a mallard. Best I could do with an Audubon book

Canvasback, now that's one I didn't think of.
Thanks! Makes a good looking duck too.

The male is probably a cross between a mallard and a white peking duck. They are similar enough as a breed to 'cross pollinate'. The curl on the tail is not peculiar to mallards. All male ducks of the mallards and pekings have curled feathers on the tails, and they don't quack like the females. Their voice has sort of a raspy sound.
Muscovies, the ones with the red turkey flesh on their heads and black and white color patterns will also cross-breed with the pekings.
So, search as you may, I don't think you will find a pic anywhere identifying a specific breed for that duck in the picture.
