Hi

This was taken today at WWT using a shallow depth of field ( Mimi and Mosa - Asian Short Clawed Otters) Only one of the pair is in focus - this was planned but I cant decide if it works as an art shot.

What do people think?

Art is in the eye of the beholder. Personally I would have liked both faces in focus. Still an excellent shot.

What a delightful image!

Because the faces are so expressive and there is nothing distracting about the one on the left, I'd have them both in focus. Just personal preference :)

I would like to see both faces in focus, but it's still an enjoyable shot.

Thank you HT
Most seem to like in focus - as I do but it was useful trying something new

I would have liked them both in focus as well Fergal but it's still, a great photo to look at, wish I'd have took it.

Fergal I think it would have been a better picture if both
were in focus.

Catching these guys both facing you is hard enough. They're quick even on a lazy day. I do think you've got it cropped a little too tight though.
