Good job on the birds. Obviously you are enjoying that lens. How do you like your Canon 6D?
Thank you, Ramled. The Tamron 150-600mm really does a great job, but my Canon 6D also makes a big difference in seeing the detail in the bird feathers and darker areas of the photos by increasing the ISO's to a higher level and still have no noise.
As usual very nice shots. How far away from the birds when you took your pictures?

absolutely beautiful I don't have a bird feeder the cooper's hawks would kill the pretty's so I have to go with ugly birds at home Thanks for all the pretty pics.
Thank you, piccnurse. Hopefully when the little birds come to the feeders, they will land in the nearby tree branches for a more natural setting which makes for a better photo.

I agree, I really like my 6D for the ability to use higher ISO. I like my 7D but if I get much above 800 ISO it can pick up some digital noise. Continue the good work.

exquisite photo's, love the downloads. I want this lens??? Is it very heavy??
Thank you, Mile. It weighs about 4.2 lbs. It is easy for me to take hand held photos (I always do) but it might be too heavy for others who are conditioned to lighter lenses. It just takes some time to get used to the weight.
The Canon 500mm prime lens ($10,000) weighs about 22 lbs. Now, that's heavy.

Last year I used the canon 60d (half frame) camera and had noise problems which I don't have anymore unless it is an extreme situation.

Thank you, rkeele. I was between 20-25 feet from the birds.

The snow was falling and one of the bird feeders got top heavy with snow on one side of it's little roof causing it to tilt. This appears to make the photo crooked but it is level.
The birds were about 20-25 feet away. You will see some snowflakes in the photos.
Beautiful set of pictures. How do you like the Tamron 150-600mm lens?
Hi Regis,
Your pictures are stunning, especially the last one. You must be very happy with the new lens.
By the way, my wife and I are from the Sandpoint, Coeur'd Alene area. We're now in Boise but sure look back on our "north Idaho days" fondly. Take care & ...

How far where you from subject? f/?
Your bird shots are simply outstanding. Great focus and DOF under wonderful lighting conditions. Question, are you adding any artificial light on your shots?
Excellent photos! I, too, wondered if you were using a Better Beamer or some type of flash extender.

Once again, very nice shots Regis. I checked with our local camera store and they expect their first shipment of the lens later this week. I intend to take a look when I can.
