I have found a particular Nikon used Zoom lens at both stores and it seems they are both in the same condition. I've bought from B&H in the past and been happy but the price difference is about $35.00 in favor of Adorama in this case.

I also remember a Customer Service Rep. from Adorama being on this website which could be an advantage were something to go wrong.

My question is for people who have used both stores and may have input concerning this topic. Which would you recommend.?

I've used both stores and rate them both as excellent. I favor B&H simply because I've been dealing with them so long. You can't lose with either one.

Both are excellent, I have spent (too much) money at both. Customer service reps from both are members here. In this situation, I would get it from Adorama.

I have used only B&H and am well satisfied. My good friend uses only Adorama and he is equally satisfied.

I have used both in the last 6 weeks with equal satisfaction. I would not worry about recommending either of them.

Flip a coin they are both great folks to deal with. I've used both but am pretty loyal to B&H. BTW both are represented here on the hog.

I wish to thank all four of you so far and pretty much got what I thought I would.

I did just notice B&H's 1 year protection plan is $98.95 and Adorama's 2 year repair or replace is around $17.00. That is another Adorama advantage unless I'm missing something.

BTW, this lens goes for around $700.00 used.

Aloha,L.H.

HelonOster is the Adorama representative and enjoys an excellent reputation on this forum.

henryp is the B&H representative; he seems to be a bit less active, but is available whenever needed.

I've used both. Am very satisfied with both. And both have reasonable returns policies. I would simply go with the slightly less expensive copy.

Both are great! Adorama sometimes sells the same item on eBay with free shipping.

I've had problems with products from both places. The returns/exchange experience from both have been awesome and easy.

I've only dealt with B&H but I've been so delighted with the experience that no one else may ever get a chance to compete! I realize that this is unlikely to be a factor for you but their store is AMAZING!

ADORAMA, hands down in this case. B&H lost with the protection plan , as I see it. It's a no brainer.

Good luck

Used equipment is different. The lens that's $35 more is probably worth $35 more. Both are excellent sellers. If you search very hard, you will find complaints about each, but some people complain too easily.

They are both excellent as pointed out by everyone. I have purchased from both and the shipping is excellent as well. My decision is usually based upon cost for an item, and although they both have the same cost, every once in a while the cost for an item I am seeking may be less at one site and I will purchase from there....and in such cases, I'm not talking a $5. difference, it could be a few hundred. Good luck.
