Nice photograph of an interesting place. The burros in Oatman are protected by the US Department of the Interior. Careful when feeding them though, you may be "mobbed." :D
One of my Oatman snaps, what an interesting place that was..
I was there last June. Drove Route 66 from Chicago Illinois to Santa Monica California. Oatman is a must see on the way. Certainly enjoyed my afternoon there.
When we were there last year a donkey came right up to our open window and went nose to nose with our Cocker Spaniel Lucky. There were a lot of them roaming around town that day. Neat place to visit.
A great spot with a lot of history. I have a photo of one of the burros with his head in a car window. I might have put it on UHH some time back, you could have a look if you're interested. Jude.

One of the highlights of my life, to drive Route 66. We joined it at Seligman, up through Peach Springs, down to Kingman, Oatman, and on to Lake Havasu City. Wonderful. I have some great photos but I don't want to over do it.

I've been there 3 or 4 times. It is a very interesting place. If you really want to have some fun with the burros, have someone else have the camera and you put a carrot in your hip pocket, sticking out. That burro will smell it and take it out of your pocket and that's when the picture is taken.
