Wow, you picked quite a camera to start out with! I have one and the pictures can be exquisite but it is heavy! I usually take this camera with me when I can use a tripod. It does not handle low light well so don't be surprised at the amount of noise. Topaz has a noise application that is a good one. Please read and re-read the manual with the camera in your lap. I think you can also get Ken Rockwell's review and settings just for your information.

I am just starting here, photography has been a hobby for many years, I have several cameras--fugi S2pro, RB67pros and a linholf 4X5. Novatron & Balcar strobes. I prefer to shoot sports and traded a F5 in for the Fugi to start digital.
