Frost is simply amazing. Mother nature can create the most beautiful art. This frost was on several of my windows. It has been cold herein north east Ohio.-12 degrees the other morning. Hope you enjoy these. RGS

Camera and lens used please.
Great photos, #1&2 have a surreal quality to them.
Thanks to everyone for the nice comments. Taken with a Nikon D700, Nikon 200mm macro lens. Tripod & cable release. I also use a B+W circular polarizer 98% of the time when doing macro. I used Nik software to add color. RGS
I love these. I see them frequently but they don't last long. Your first post rendition is gorgeous. What was outside the window to give it such gorgeous background?
Carlysue, On the left side there was snow and on the right where it is dark were trees. The background was very much out of focus. The color was from a filter in Nik software.
The other thing I want to say is when doing macro or close-up photography its all about the background. In a lot of photos I see backgrounds that that are bad. I don't care how good the subject is if the background is bad the image is bad. It was taken at f-16 ISO 200 1/10 sec. RGS
that is helpful info. I appreciate that. Stay warm.
Excellent, especially pic 1. The composition is balanced by the left and right separate details and the background is lovely. Great sharp shots. Arty
