Playing With the SX50 SH: Tractor Zoom.

There's construction 30 feet from my house. It's a six storey building and every time the wind blows more crap gets blown off the top floor, where they are working now, right in front of my front door. I've gotten used to looking up before I go out. I'm tellin' ya' we get 60-70 mph winds up here when it rains hard and sheet rock pieces and the long metal corner strips, which hardly weigh anything, come flying down along with cement chips, discarded wood, and anything else that isn't tied down.
So there's this guy that keeps parking his mini-dozer behind my house when he goes home after work. Did he ever ask for permission? __ You fill in the blank. So, as it was there anyway, I played with the 50X zoom.
I could have gotten closer but I only have a two legged tripod and I got tired of carrying that big rock around that I was putting under the short foot.
So what d'ya'think?

Good shots, nice story, thanks
Sharp as a tack. Wouldn't mind borrowing that for a day...the projects I could get done. ;-)

Great series, Moshe--all are sharp. My experience with this camera tells me that it is best sticking to optical zoom as much as possible, as the IQ does fall off a little when digital zoom is used. Using optical only, 1,200mm is a lot of zoom anyway. This is JMO. :-)

For the cost of the plane ticket to come and get it you could buy several SX50's.
