Beautiful work! I'm intrigued by the process and am curious what else can be done. Is it possible to change the opacities on the first and second horse & rider, for example, to create a ghost-like sense of motion? I have never worked with photo merge and don't know what all can be done with it. But what you have here is wonderful.
Hi dmeyer,
Thank you for your kind words.
On the first two pitcures I used the simple cut and paste method... feathering the cut out i moved. On the top photo i then had to take just a leg under the bar and attach it to the photo to keep it looking real.
The third photo was when i was not long into photoshop when i trimmed all photos and joined each or the three photos together to make a single photo.
Hope this helps ... i am still learning new things every day...i find that when i want to learn a specific think i put into youtube and away i go. Happy to help any time.
Beautifully done and unique...also a great training aide for your clients...position, timing of the jump, etc...like the rider's hand in the third shot is out of position for the landing. I've seen similar shots at horse events. Well done!! ;-)
Thank you Photog8.... that is one of my very early try's... i hope i am improving
I really like the 3rd shot :)

Indeed, very helpful. I didn't realize you could accomplish that through cut and paste--I thought it was a photo merge. Obviously, I do not experiment much at all. Thanks for sharing your method.
Good job, takes a lot of practice to do this. Thanks for sharing. Bee
Awesome! I can see why people would want a copy of your images. Great idea with a terrific outcome.
Thank you barb and photo girl for you kind words i love doing this work
Here is another one of my earlier photos
