I'm a little rusty at this as it's been very overcast snowy this winter, but I'm just now getting a chance to try out some night sky photography.

EM1 and 20mm

Beautiful shot and it would make an interesting and atmospheric Christmas card. Night skies are on my 'next to try' list.

Very nice - what were your exposures, assuming you stacked multiple images?

Single shot.
IS off, tripod mounted, 2 second delay, 20 second exposure, 20mm f1.7 iso 200, and frozen fingers.

Edited in LR for white balance and local adjustments (brought up the brightness on the bottom of the photo).

Thanks. I will be trying some of these, once the weather warms up quite a lot!

Lots of detail in the download. You have some pretty dark sky there. Nice! I wonder if you could resolve this? It's probably just off the top of your pic...

Looks like this is it...
We've had so few clear nights up here this winter...I can count them on 4 fingers. If we get one again soon, I'll take my 283mm lens out and try again, now that I know where to look for it.
