This Statue is on the Highline in NYC. I took this before the weather froze over and have recently decided to look through some old photos to help get through this horrible winter.

An intriguing image which I find very appealing. The background is perfect for this shot. You have a fantastic eye for composition, it seems to be a natural thing for you.

The Highline Park is an great place as you have that higher perspective over the city. 8-)

I am basically hibernating and editing flower and insect photographs. Will venture out for a Super Bowl party. :D

I understand! If I didn't have to go to work I think I could honestly crawl under the blankets till spring. Trying to motivate myself to keep active I (insanely?) registered for a half marathon so at least I will have to go to the gym and stay active! This is the worst in a long time...and I am actually getting tired of complaining but can't seem to stop. lol!

I go to the gym in the early morning, but lately the choice of getting out into 10 degree weather or staying under the blankets...well..you can guess which choice has been winning.

Me too! Just signed up for a half marathon for the spring so that I am forced to keep training through this winter or else I would choose to do nothing! lol

Alissa,

My compliments on your photograph. As a fellow sufferer of the frigid NYC winter doldrums, I feel your pain and did a little research. After much digging it seems there's a place at 420 - 9th ave. NYC which is warm, colorful, with an incessant albeit not unpleasant overhead buzz. It's chock full of knicknacks, doodads and all manner of intriguing electronics. I'm informed that if you know the right person to ask, they may be able to scrounge up a camera maybe even two for you to play with.

Furthermore, I hear they have a 70 seat auditorium tucked away where a person might spend the entire day in cozy warmth listening to presentations by world class photographers and demonstrations by Photo gear manufacturers all for free!

Using threats and some arm twisting, I managed to extract a URL for the Calendar of Events for this little gem called the Event Space:

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/find/EventSpace.jsp

I hope you find the information useful :)

HERSHEL
