Just shot with the 105mm I need to pull out the bellows or extension tubes but it is COLD. I don't want to hurt the camera....
A few flakes? That is no way to talk about macro-photographers!
<Bazinga!>
Nice flakes by the way.
You might want to reconsider that caution. We spend tons of bucks on specialized lenses and build nozzle contraptions to mount on our flashes then we climb through flower beds and under branches all to chase our Prize! Some bug who would rather be somewhere else and in many cases would be stomped on by children and some adults. I could not argue with someone who called me a flake when they see some of the antics I do to get my shot. Thanks for the Kind remarks 8>) JB
Flake is only halfway to nerd and that is where I am.
Flaky nut-job here... Some interesting geometric patterns in the photos. I agree with your notion to add tubes in an effort to better isolate individual flakes....
Hope you don't mind me jumping on your post. I too shot some flakes last week. Using my 100mm macro and quite a bit of cropping. I was able to isolate a few decent ones. Was pretty exciting for a first try!
No problem as they say, "the more flakes the merrier" or something like that. I did some cropping just to remove empty space. I need to go back and isolate some flakes and crop for a full frame as well.
From one flake to another... I like 'em. :)
neat something more for me to try
