Hi guys and gals. I haven't been around for awhile but I have been lurking. Boy things have been slow with the bugs. You probably don't know but I am the president of the Art Colony of Morongo Valley. We have been working to get our new gift shop and art gallery open by the first of February. As part of all this I have been trying to come up with hand crafted items to sell in the shop. The one thing we didn't think about is kid stuff. At the last minute I came up with the idea of making a coloring book from macro photos. If you don't mind helping I need I'Ds on these insects for the book. It looks like this is going to be a big seller as kids love bugs.

Multi-Colored Asian Lady beetle (Harmonia axyridis)
Convergent Lady beetle (Hippodamia convergens) a California native
Vivid Dancer Damselfly (Argia vivida)
Here is a sample. Thanks in advance guys.
Must your images be from your area and do they have to be bugs? If other stuff is ok I would be pleased if you would use one of mine. Actually the photo was mine and Douglass did the conversion.

I have 2 additional book in the works and I would be happy to include yours in my flower coloring book. Thanks for the donation. The children will be grateful.
Thanks Douglass for the conversion and the ID's.
Let us know when they are ready. I want them for my grand children.
Very, very cool idea! Great shots also! You could always superimpose one of your bugs on the plant stem.
