Aside from documenting this neat effect, the first 3 images are very beautiful, Erv! Texture, composition, light - so lovely.

Thank you Linda!! The Sun was making the snow sparkle. But they don't show it to good on here. I had to play with settings a little because it was so bright out. But it sure was cold today. Glad to be home!!

You're right! Benny drops turds bigger than that! I don't get it. This sort of thing has been all over the news lately. I have had them in my yard before. I never thought much of it. Next time we have some. I will have to take some picture.

Like I said before, fun pics!

I have never seen a snow roller before. You have introduced me to a new phenomenon. I agree with Linda that the first three are beautiful.

Me neither! And I've been through hundreds of big snow storms. Thanks Erv!

Thanks Tom. I guess we get them about every 2 years. I thought everyone knew what they were. :) I was just sick of not getting any camera time and went out and shot a few.:):)

Thank you Judy!! They are fun to see. They are all over the place this time. I remember at the other house one year we had 100's of them in the side yard. It looked like someone rolled tires down the hill. These are fairly small ones this time.

Welcome Cyn! :) You have to have an old snow fall and then a new one with pretty good wind. The holes are what makes me amazed. I have tried to roll snow this way and never can.:):)

Love the first one, especially. Saw these on the news today.
