So storing a gun inside a clock is a double-bad idea. :D

Just would not store it in obvious places (i.e. under mattresses, in underwear drawers..on top of cabinets) and not inside something that thieves would probably take anyway, like the mantle clock. Best bet is to put it in a place that does not look good to a thief and somewhere he would not normally look in or take....but still somewhere readily accessible to you. There are plenty of items available to the public for use in homes and cars, etc. Although....Lots of guns are stolen from cars around here because many businesses have "No Firearms Allowed" signs posted in their windows. Only people that adhere to that are the law abiding and not the criminals...so the Law Abiding often become victims themselves when their car is broken into.

This is the best gun cabinet I've ever seen. Doesn't look loke anything is hidden anywhere.

A hidey hole in plain sight is a great idea, but posting photos of it on utube kind of defeats it's usefulness. I suspect that the criminal element would remember this bookcase after seeing this.
