This is my topic #100 in two a half months of UH membership. The tally is 95 picture topics created with about 600 photos and 5 topics in the Forum. The line of my photos is not getting any shorter, will have to go for topic #200 I guess. Please bear with me....
Thanks for your support and kind words. Ivan.

very interesting....am i correct in thinking that the first two are juvies and the last an adult. If so do the eye colors also change with maturity.....????

Yes, you are right. Maturity is reached in 4-5 years when the head and a dozen of tail feathers turn white. The beak goes from black to yellow and the eyes from brown to yellow. Strangely enough the raptor shrinks in size after reaching the adulthood. You can compare the head changes on the enclosed photo.
Thanks,Ivan.

amazing...new about most but never really noticed before the eyes....Do you know of any other creatures whose eyes change colors as they mature?
I have seen the hair on my head go from very dark to quite quite light...but my eyes are still brown.

As I looked back from old photos, my yeyes were a deep rich brown when young, now 61 laps around the sun they are more subdued brown. I have also noticed my sandy brown hair has disapperaed like Houdini ;\
