Viewbug is one of(If not the) largest photo contest sites on the Web. Judging usually occurs by the most respected people in the industry. I was really proud of this shot. It was my first international win! There were
18,000 entries by both professionals and amateurs in the Facial expression photo contest. I had both of my submitted photos place in the top 26 for consideration. Even making that selection is difficult.
The below photo titled "Grump" was the winner.
The other photo selected in the Top 26 is "Unforgiven". I named the title just "***" because I didn't know how the title might go over with the Judges and I thought Grump had a better shot anyway.
The Judge of this contest was Dan Harlacher of Onone Software.
Not only did Dan have some nice words to say about my photograph..It also help for a future sponsorship of Onones Software Black and White effects plugin for photoshop.
Looking forward to more competitive shooting this year.

I am a finalist right now in one of the contests,(top 19 under consideration out of almost 3000..so I am pretty elated too) so I understand the excitement! Congrats!

Question Russ. In the description for "My World", you have a url for
http://ClipsofTips.com . "One of my heavy mid-tone Based B&W photos. For Photoshop MasterClass B&W Processing techniques please visit me at: "
Attempted to go there, but it comes bad as an invalid domain name. Any other link you might suggest for similar technique?
Edit * Strange...altho tried a few times, it showed as dead link. Tried from post here, and went right to it. Please disregard. After I practice, I'll post my better ones...lol
