Please add 1 personal favorite of a B&W landscape shot..
Let's show the beauty of the land around us and how many things we can miss with the distraction of color.... Only 1 please, because these open threads can get very overwhelming very fast... :)

Travesty - I've been using mostly B&W film and leaving digital in color. Here's something that came back from developing yesterday.

Outside of class? Why feel that way? While your's may not be considered great by some, it is still very nice. Snow's white, not grey, framing is there etc...'bout the only thing I would have done is caught the scene before the car went thru.

CHG_CANON, you have helped prove my point on how B&W can show true character in a subject... : Nice shot!

I agree with busted_shutter.... I like the shot.. Be true to yourself... Photographs are an expression of the person taking the photo... There is a reason you took that shot and I happen to like it..

You are all quite kind.
I think the car tracks are ok, but your right. I was a bit late.
Give me a few years, I'll get there.

Since my DH has a brother that lives just outside of Gatlinburg, TN, we try to make at least a couple of trips a year down there. Love Cades Cove, try to make the loop trip at least once each visit. Can be a pain trying to figure out a time when there aren't hundreds of people with the same idea, but it's still great.

:) Gotta love trees :) Great shot!... And yes the absence of humans is hard sometimes and frustrating.... :)
I am actually heading out soon to get one about a half hour away with fresh snow fall... I hope...

This road leads to a old family cemetery, which always lends itself to b/w.
