People find a way; it says in the intro that these are sneaked photos. I guess the guards overlooked the cameras.
One other place is the Alamo in San Antonio, TX. This may have changed, but many years ago, when I made my only visit, photograhy within the Alamo chapel was strictly forbidden. However, one could, at that time, purchase nice sets of color slides at the gift shop.....
Also, the Sistine Chapel in the Vatican. I was told multiple times before we got there that we could not photograph the ceiling. I did, got yelled at by the guards.

There go my travel plans for this summer! Actually, there was nothing there I plan to see, anyway, but I'm glad someone took pictures for us to see.
