Any blue skies you see here are artificial :)
Featureless gray skies with low ceiling, mist in the air, some fog - yuck, yuck.
Canon SX50, burst mode. Heavy crops, lots of edits - including adding catch lights to the kestrel's eyes :)
Not quite adult bald eagle on the left
Red tail hawks
American Kestrel
Northern harrier, I believe

Nice shots as usual, Linda.
Nice group of raptors, sun or no sun. You always do a great job finding and catching them!
Nice shots, Linda. I especially like that puffed up little Kestrel.

Nice shots Linda ! - Thanks for posting .....Don't these birds know they are supposed to fly south for the winter ?? Not sure about the Nothern Harrier - if it is ....It is a male "Grey Ghost"
Great shots. Love the Kestrel.

Thanks so much Marilyn! I was having serious shooting withdrawal so was going out today whatever the weather :)

LOL - it was kind of a prolific day after all. We saw 13 - 15 bald eagles, among other goodies.
Thanks so much for viewing.

Thanks Randy! 13 - 15 bald eagles today; guess they were grounded by the fog.

Thanks so much for your kind words. We are very lucky to have all these beauties hang around. Here is another shot of the maybe-harrier if that will help you ID. I'd heard that "gray ghost" name here on UHH. Very neat!
