Nice photos. I visited Valley Forge and am still in awe of the courage our men showed that winter as sickness and death depleted their ranks. As you pointed out, it really hits home when visiting this site.

John, I am sure you enjoyed your visit. It is quite a place.
I live about 3 miles from there and always find something of interest to shoot.

Thanks for your comments, come back again and I will show you around..

I live near Valley Forge and often think about how tough that winter must have been. Thanks for posting.

Oh indeed not! Miss Scarlett never ventures far from Tara these days. Her bonnet and shawl just aren't warm enough for weather such as this. :-D These are beautiful snow scenes, Tom. It's so good to see you braving the cold and posting for our enjoyment again! Hope you have some cozy ear muffs!!!

Thanks for your comments Donna. I finally had the time to post some photos.

I see Scarlett needs to get to the habadashery for winter wear. I am sure the Tara Shopping Center has , mittens, boots and Shaker Capes. Just perfect for Scarlett. You've got to get out more
 ;-)

Budget is a very naughty word at Tara! It gives Miss Scarlett a swoon when she hears it, and she requires her smelling salts for the rest of the day.
