Hi, I'm new to the group...been lurking for several weeks. I feel comfortable enough with everyone to start posting. You guys are GREAT! I am truly a beginner...but think I have an artsy fartsy side. My camera is a Cannon T3i...I have Photoshop Elements, but haven't started doing anything much with it. I'm pretty much using all automatic settings...but will learn manual settings eventually. ALL help is appreciated.

Love the pic of the bird. What kind of camera did you use and what were the settings?
Thank you. I have a Cannon T3i Rebel...Automatic settings...
Another Bird
Welcome to the group. It looks like you're off to a good start.
Love the truck photo, wish i could had seen it from the sunny side of the truck. The Pelican feather detail is very nice.
Thanks....the truck was on private property and I was just driving by...would have been more vibrant from the other side, though.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Pelican turned out. And the fact that he didn't attack me was an added bonus!
I love the frost on the window photo. How very clever. Welcome to posting :)
Thank you....actually, it was from the inside of our pickup as we were warming it up to go.

The feathers on the pelican are outstanding.
Is that Mt. Shasta on your avatar??
I live on the south side of it in Redding.
Welcome to UUH.
Nice photos!!
Thank you! I'm fortunate to live where there's a lot of Red-Tailed Hawks...and they do love their picture taken. ;-)
YES...it's Mt. Shasta taken from McCloud. I live in Newell and Mt. Shasta is my view. I have lots and lots and lots of sunsets over Mt Shasta, clouds over Mt Shasta...Pink Mt Shasta..LOL...and the list goes on and on.
Hi Goddess, Welcome to the Forum. I love the Modoc plateau and the Klamath Basin area, always beautiful.
I agree....there's a lot "going on" in nature here..and that will be my focus
