My question is about finding a specific post. I've learned that the line in the daily email (example:
http://news.uglyhedgehog.com/b-192522-d-884) can be cut and pasted into my browser's URL address to bring me to a list which may contain the exact item I wish to reexamine. Is there a more exact way? I try to screenshot items I find of particular interest, but storing these is kind of tedious.
When viewing a Topic that you want to follow, click on the "BookMark" link just above the name at the top of the topic. It will allow you to enter a description if you want. Then to find it later, click on the "My Bookmarks" in the top section of any page.
The topic, each page in it, and every post have their own URL. For this topic, it's
http://www.uglyhedgehog.com/t-178834-1.htmlwhere the "-1" before the ".html" means it's the first page, and the start of the topic. You can see this in your browser location bar. In the titlebar for each post, the left side has the date and time of the post, and the right side has a "#" and "^". Clicking on the # takes you to that particular post, and the URL in the browser window is for the post.
You can bookmark these in your browser's bookmark manager, or you could have a Word document with the topics and posts that you want, since you can click on the links in the doc and the page will open in a browser.

Right! Very handy. I sometimes save the URL in a word processor.
Use the watch option as well. You don't have to reply to a topic. A watched topic now appears in your Watched Topics list. You can monitor new updates that will sort to the top. You can also unwatch if you tire of the subject. Watch is right next to bookmark on the left above the list of authors posting to a topic.

Right. I have 3,326 Watched Topics.
