A real work horse. I took at least 2500 slides with it. Look at my topics to see its output.

It comes with a Minolta shoulder carrying bag. A 50mm AF Minolta Lens and a Minolta 28-135mm Zoom AF lens. The flash is one that fits into the shoe on top. The camera takes 4 AAA batteries and the flash takes 4 AA batteries. The flash has its own case. Owner's manual included. Filters and rings included.

If interested, contact me at "mosbenav" No reasonable offer refused.

The camera was purchased in the U.S. and is located in Israel. Shipping is not included.

I had one of those and unfortunately it gave up the ghost. But it was one beautiful camera while it lasted. And those Rokkor X lenses were great.

What do you mean by "it gave up the ghost."

I actually had two bodies - one was the very original version of the Minolta Maxxums and the other was probably the 7000. But after several years they just stopped working. And by then, I had acquired a DSLR. Still think they were the best film cameras though.

DebAnn: So tell me, should I take down the ad? I don't want to stick anyone.

No, I don't think you should take it down. Just be honest about its age. If it's in good working order, then the buyer can decide if he/she wants it. One of our local camera shops does have that model for sale in their second-hand section sometimes. I don't think it would be worth a whole lot though.

OK, I'm going to check it all out to make sure it still works, then with all the stuff I listed would $200 be too much?

You seem like a real straight shooter/
I went on ebay and searched completed listings for your camera and 50mm lens. Average price for your camera and 50mm lens based on 6 completed auctions $ 44.00. A few of those included a bag.
A search on the 28-135 resulted in (using avg of 10 sales) $194.91.

Your camera , bag and flash are not worth more than sentimental value and shipping. good for a film student taking a course. That lens however was and is a very sharp lens and is sought after by Sony users as it fits a Sony. Sooooo it is not unreasonable to think that you could get $ 200 for just the lens. If you check ebay you will see that some, in good condition brought $ 200 and more. You may want to realist here as Sony mount Minolta 28-135mm. Good Luck

Thanks sbesaw: Great research and I am grateful. When I check everything out I'll probably still ask $200 because the shipping will be exorbitant. In fact $200 may be too much. My check will have to be a dry run. I don't plan to actually buy film and wait for slides to come back.
Thanks again,
Moshe
