Looks like an interesting place

This place ''lives''. They have music jams, dances, art expos, several great restaurants which specialize in deer, elk, buffalo, salmon etc. They play La Crosse and there is a Provincial bicycle trail that goes right through the village.

Sunday savers you might say.

I took these Jan 11, before we'd had more than 1 thaw.

p1 The roof lines on the barn are interesting. Like the subdued colors also.

pg 1 - She ought to join us hoggers - she'd learn as we are/have! Bet you felt really chuffed being able to explain/demonstrate your skill.

When I was shooting in the Longhouse the lighting was not all that good but I found a way to do it as best I could.

We take a lot for granted, things that we have learned here sort of make us think that everyone else does it. So a lady was watching me and asked to see the pics and said that she too has a Canon and asked me about the setup. Well I used the timer in speed priority mode, set at 2.5 secs at ISO 100 I replied. She looked at me and said, What's that?. I told her that speed priority is Tv Mode and she had no idea of what Tv is.

Then I thought...Wow I've learned a lot here LOL!

Don't think it's eligible, Katherine. The start date was 1/17 and I shot that 1/15. Wasn't sure of the definition "within contest week" so PMd the moderator.

We've got those snowy foggy colours today, too. Not much snow though, yet.

Thanks

Cant believe it - the sun is shining again today! yippee… Herewith another few pics of Westward Ho! after the storms…. The sandy beach is littered with pebbles off the ridge making it very uncomfortable to walk on and disastrous for the sand kites!

Tell you why I like these. The walkers make the photos, they also help denote DOF and bring life to a potentially bland beach scene....Congrats!

Each one has its own beauty and I could not choose a favourite, but if my warm was twisted I'd go with #2.

Thanks RR - No 2 for me too - like the mistiness. There seems to be a blue tinge to the first one that I ought to have corrected…might go back and do so..
