Had some time to kill the other day and so had my first chance to play with my macro tubes. I appreciate any critiques

First suggestion: Replace images above, or add same images below, and check the box labeled (store original). Then we can download & enlarge your images for critical viewing, and more accurate recommendations. And we can peek at your Exif info.

Welcome to true macro forum.
We generally check "save original" before down loading. We like to appreciate it at full size.
The first photo I think it would be better if a seed head was your focus rather than the leaf. Your depth of field is about 1 mm so you must have a specific focus.

Well Douglass beat me to it.

I like the composition of the 2nd image and the colours of the 3rd image. Nice shooting look forward to seeing more.

Good first effort. There are issues with nailing the focus but that will come with practice. Looking forward to your future contributions to the group.

Sorry about not uploading the full version with the store original feature, the way it read to me you weren't supposed to store original on most pics. Technically these are HDR's using the Enfuse plug in for lightroom. The 1st and 3rd I was using the kit 18-55mm lens and the 2nd one I was using the macro extension tube with the same lense

Your dandelion images download and enlarge just fine, especially image #3. Unfortunately, your PP program has stripped-away all Exif info.

I have added the Exif info to your above post. A stand-alone zoom kit lens cannot capture a true macro-photograph. Two of your images are close-ups, and the third image is most likely a crop of a similar image. Are you planning to acquire a macro lens?

Right now I have macro extension tubes... all my budget will allow for atm. The extreme "close up" was taken with the macro extension tubes. I am just starting out with DSLR's up until Christmasish I only had point and shoots. If my gear stops me from being welcome let me know and I will move along. Just trying to learn as I can, and the best way is to take shots and get critiqued on them

Extension tubes will work quite nicely. You will obtain better results with a prime lens than a zoom lens. Do you have access to a prime lens?

My next investment is probably the nifty fifty... but between sudden cuts in overtime allowed at work, budgeting to pay for my upcoming wedding, and normal day to day sundries, I don't want to push my luck with my fiance and show up with new "Toys" if you know what I mean.

If you are budgeting for a nifty fifty, you may want to consider vintage lenses for cost savings. For example, search eBay for Micro-Nikkor 55mm. It's a good macro lens at a reasonable price. Maximum native magnification is 1:2 and with your tubes 1:1 is doable. Add a Nikon-Canon adapter and your in business. Lens is all manual so you don't need a chipped adapter. A plain metal milled one will do the trick. An adapter milled within tolerance will allow you to focus the lens to infinity so you can use it as an all purpose 55mm (88mm equivalent on your cropped sensor) lens.
