This nice couple is in the Viera Wetlands. It would appear they are "in love" and preparing for the little ones. I think their breeding colors are excellent. I posted some of these in the BIF Section but decided to add them here as well. Hope you like them! (9 photos)

Very Beautiful pictures Sunfish 33! Iam glad you posted them here. Thanks for listing your camera and lens also. I have one question--did you hand hold that lens or did you use a tripod? If you used a tripod, what one and type of head. I am learning and liked to get that lens some day after I start lifting some weights. Thanks so much! Again the birds are so lovely and well done!

You've done quite a job with these. I'm blown away. I have never seen more graceful birds and you captured their ballet superbly. Congratulations. One of my all time favorite groups.

Yes....they are at the Ritch Grissom Viera Wetlands. These probably are the most photographed two herons in the world. :) Thanks!

Thanks very much! Most of the time I am hand holding but this time I was using my tripod. I had plenty of time. I use a MeFOTO A1350 aluminium (aka aluminum) tripod. Not the best tripod but it is strong enough to hold the big lens yet not too heavy. It is very user friendly.
