Another Heron on the marsh with Sx 50

I have not been able to go to the marsh in over a month. So decided to look through my files and found this guy. Taken in November 2013. The tide was out and you can see the oysters in the marsh.
This is a really tight crop...because I almost missed the shot as he tried to fly right out of the frame :P

Wonderful shot. These guys can be such a pain to shoot as they frighten so easily and usually take off if you get anywhere near them.

Fortunately, most of the birds on the marsh are pretty used to people walking/ driving by on the causeway. I was actually looking at another bird farther away when I saw this guy taking off. I was pretty close. So had to bring my zoom in and get him in focus and click really quickly. This time it worked. Often it doesn't.
