Took a night dive with Force-E dive shop under the BHB
Great series. Particularly like the nudibranch and the urchin shots. Several other remarkable photos here.
Thxs Rocco , I get chased off the main forum all the time, they should create separate forums for flowers, sunsets, birds, etc.
Then I would ignore some of those topics I'm not interested, but what the hell, I ignore most of them anyway and only stay at this website to learn from other good photograghers with topics I want to learn.
Super-duper shots. Amazing what comes alive at night. Did a couple night dives in the Great Lakes and Fingerlakes, but viz is poor with few colorful fish. ;-)
Thxs Photog8, I'm mostly a warm water diver 82 to 84F in the South Pacific. But since I'm in Marco Island for a couple months escaping the cold weather up North, decided to add a LavaCore vest to the 3 mil wetsuit and give it a try.
Well if you need a heavier suit for the colder climate or know of anyone, I have an almost brand new O'Neill 7mm System 2 two-piece; SeaQuest Pro QDi3 BC; and Titan LX Supreme Reg w/Suunto Cobra & ABS-LPO Octo for sale.

Very nice shots, and thanks for the tip, I'll look into Force-E's night trips.
OK chowe , ask for Jeff at Force-E, he's good and knows where the critters are ....
I always look forward to your photos and I am never disappointed.
Thxs jrb213, the water had low viz for this post since it was near shore and heavy current after rains mucked up the water. But shooting macro puts you close to the subjects and helps eliminate back scatter from the strobes bouncing off particles.

Thanks critter hunter, for the pictures , sorry I was not able to meet you guys at the bridge ladt month while in Florida .heading to Nassau for some dive next month .
Nice job! Especially the pipefish!
Thxs, had to put on a couple extra pounds to keep from popping up in the shallow areas. Almost 2 hr dive, but had to get out with the change in current. Will dive out of Marco Island tomorrow, not sure what to expect on the Gulf side of Florida, but will post some sort of macro.

Thanks for the tip on the night dives. We went last Wed. night and probably will go on a lot of these. Every time I dive there I see something I've never seen before. The last day dive I did there, the 6th time under the bridge, we were getting out and I was thinking I hadn't seen any new fish on the dive, and right then there was a Striped Burrfish. Gorgeous. That night dive I saw 5 new fish, 3 new starfish, 1 new Sea Cucumber, 3 new crabs and a new shrimp.
Congrats, I would like to make it back but it's a three hour drive and I have to spend the night in a hotel.
