Took this last week on a snowy day. I like this one, what do you think? All comments welcome.

Thank you.

I think you did a good job. It's almost like a mirror image.

Neat shot of beautiful birds :)

You might consider cropping off some of the left and right sides, to highlight the birds even more.

Your telephoto lens performed admirably. If you give your permission, I am sure there is someone out there who could crop this down for you and present the birds in an even more favorable composition

I think it's a wonderful pic., twillsol, of Mr. & Mrs. Red-bellied Woodpecker.
Good Job!

Perlmission granted, would be glad to see what can be done to improve it.

Thanks to all for your comments.

I took Linda's suggestion and trimmed a bit from the right and left sides (and a bit from the bottom), cloned out the distracting knot from the center of the tree, highlighted the structure in the two birds (and brightened them a bit), did a dynamic contrast correction, and a darken/lighten center manipulation, then matted the photo for a more finished look.

What software did you use to do this? Was it all Lightroom? I just started learning Lightroom and now I am excited to learn more.

It was done with a combination of Photoshop CS6 and two NIK Collection Filters, Viveza and Color Efex.
