British Railroad Engines

Here's some Kodachromes I scanned from 1973. They were taken somewhere in Yorkshire, possibly near the Bronte home in Haworth.

Perhaps some of you RR enthusiasts from England can help with some details.

Just starting to learn PP in Lightroom 5. This is my first attempt. Let me know what you think.

Well shot--well reproduced. Considering the age of the pics, I think you did an excellent job.

Well I think you've done very well. Kodachrome was a delightful film. It had lots of color range. I'm delighted that you've digitized these wonderful images to share with all of us. The trains are nothing like anything I've seen here in the U.S. I think that's what is wonderful. You've shared a part of your World which otherwise I may have never seen. Just delightful...thank you!

Thank you all for your kind words. I was in the U.S. Navy stationed in Scotland on an R.A.F. base for a few years. On one of my trips south I happened on these engines all together. They are a little different than what I'd seen in the U.S. So, obviously, I had to get a picture of them.
