That's $640 in USD, so you'd have many choices. What are you planning to photograph?

For that price the 'many' choices would be for BODY ONLY. Not many would also allow the purchase of more than maybe one additional lens.

Here's a list of dslr' s you might find helpful.

Wahawk, the op asked about cameras available, not body/lens combinations.

Based on the heading it is difficult to tell, and MOST topics that are worded like that are from those that need the body PLUS lens.
I am outta here!!

I suggest the Nikon D3200. A great starter DSLR. Keep the lenses you purchase for it..they can be used on other Nikon bodies.

Welcome to our forum! I always look for factory refurbished cameras. Nikon D5100 or D5200, maybe. Stretch to the D7000, with the focusing motor in the body, rather than having to lenses with the motor.

That's enough to purchase a Canon SX050 and several accessories to go with it. Enjoy!

I like the Sony A-3000 for $350 - not a DSLR - but acts like one - mirrorless.

I've been a Canon guy for many years and recently bought a
600D - excellent for the money about $600.

The Canon SX50 is priced at $350 and is a megazoom camera at 50X. It certainly is not the best camera you can buy but it is moderately priced and you don't need to use different costly lenses. It takes decent pictures which can be made into real nice pictures with editing software such as GIMP which is free at Gimp.org. I am happy with it because the price is right but you should do your own research at PhotographyBlog.com and other reviews around the net including Amazon.com. Always do your own homework on any camera you buy. Try to check it out at your camera store if you can.

If you have access to Amazon.com there are a lot of good used or near new camera w/lens bundles for that price or less.
