I'm thinking of getting a Wacom tablet and can't make up my mind which size is best for editing with some graphics included. I'm leaning towards the Medium size - what's your advice please?

Intuos 4 or 5 depending what windows you are working on 5 will not work with XP

The medium size is quite nice for editing. Though, I'm still getting accustomed to mine. I've had it for years, but it takes a bit to get the hand/eye coordination just right. Like any new tool, it will take a bit of discipline and practice to really appreciate it.

I've been using a CTE-630 Graphite ( 6" x 8" ) Wacom tablet for quite a few years now. Don't know how that relates to the new model numbers. This size is perfect for me in that it doesn't take up a lot of desktop space but it large enough to allow good movement. Highly recommended.

I have a medium one. I love my tablet and wouldn't go back to a mouse. Makes my editing go so much faster and I am able to be more precise. Did I mention I love my tablet? :-) :-) :-)

I bought the medium 5 so far only a few hours of use but find it very interesting and an asset. I plan on delving deeply into it more when I recover from my Knee replacement surgeries in March. This tablet and a whole whack of new softwares may prove to be quite challenging but will surely keep me out of my wifes hair !!

No regrets - buy one !!

I have a Wacom Bamboo. I'm having a difficult time trying to get used to using one.

I enjoy using my tablet to edit. Awesome invention.

First though measure your desk area where it will be used and where you'll slide it off when not needed. Then choose as needed.

I use a wacom intous 3 med, but if i were to by another i would go with a small. it takes up less real estate on the desk. They are a must for portrait retouching
or drawing. the sensitivity of the pen is outstanding. we have win 7 on our comp, and it works great. I have looked at the reviews for win8 and there are a lot of driver issues. do your research first.

The only thing I use it for is selecting part of an image in Photoshop...and only very generally. For very precise selection I use the masking tool which allows me to select with 2 or 3 pixel precision.

I use the Intous 5 Medium pad and wouldn't be without one! I do photo restorations and sometimes repairs are done pixel by pixel and the pen/pad combo makes that so much easier. Many years ago I started with their small pad (before Bamboo) and it was impossible. Later I purchased an Intous 3 Medium and that made all the difference. Haven't looked back since.

I have the Medium Intuos, I've had it for quite awhile now, love it and couldn't get along without it.
