Question on Bald Headed Eagles

Why do I get so few views on my eagle presentations?

My name isn't displayed on the subject line . If I had a bad reputation people wouldn't look at anything with my name on it until they had been counted. There are no sample pictures shown which might scare away potential viewers.. I used the following title this past Friday or Saturday and have as of 13 January,1500 hours mountain time, under 200 hits. Prior to me putting up this sample I had over 2000 hits on three of my last four presentations. The title is: Eagle in Flite, Sequence. Is the presentation name that bad? Fans like BIF but not EIF? Comments are of course welcomed. I'm just really mystified at the lack of response to my eagle pics

Cheers, Robin

Why do I get so few views on my eagle presentatio... (show quote)

Hi Robin..........The reason I don't comment is because I'm "landlocked" and do not know too much about Bald Eagles near rivers or oceans.
As I understand it, through documentaries, eagles prefer places where they can fish.

I have never seen a Bald Eagle, that would be a life bird for me. :D

People look at what interests them based on the title line, that's pretty much it. And gallery post fly by so fast that if you look at the site in the morning, there could be 500 posts by the next morning and most people won't go back in the history more than a page or two.

I am just curious...how do you know how many people looked at your photos? I have also posted just a few photos, but never counted the replies (really doesn't matter how many looked or responded, just nice that someone did LOL). Just wondering where that information is located. Thanks

There are 300 galleries which have had comments since your post had it's last comment less than 20 hours ago. I don't think it's personal, it's an issue of pure volume.

MT Shooter, I can understand people looking at what interests them. I just thought eagles would be much more popular for me than they have been. If I got 500 posts on eagles, I wouldn't be writing this. Good thing I wasn't in advertising I guess. Thanks much for commenting. Cheers, Robin

PS have you heard any or many reports on good wolf sitings in YNP?

It's true, Robin, I've have never seen a live Bald Eagle in my lifetime, that's what I mean about being landlocked: water type and shore birds are out of my realm, no rivers, lakes or oceans; I have seen pics., of course, of the most majestic bird on the planet and our National Bird. :-D

Two packs in the Lamar lately, looking to pick off weak bison. One pack frequenting the lower Hayden valley and one pack along the Madison. I heard there may be a pack working the area around Fishing Bridge but that may be the same pack seen in the Lower Hayden based on the count and descriptions.

Don't feed bad! There are eagles in my area, with some actually nesting in Nature Reserve here but I finally got to actually see some just last winter!! And I have lived in this area for over 50 years!!
Many times it is just being in the right area at the right time! My sister has seen a few in farm fields during the winter since eagles will also eat rabbits, mice, etc when fishing on open water isn't productive enough.

Well, it all depends on who happens to be looking that day, etc, and HOW they look. Personally, I have subscribed to several sections and 'look' at most, if not all, in those sections but don't always comment. Some people pick and choose based on the titles, and others are even more random. Then sometimes I just do a search for certain words.

Don't feel bad, some of my posts in the past had total views that surprised me......... ones I thought would get more views sometimes had the least views! Who really knows what prompts some people to look at the various topics.
