Fantastic ! What a timely walk

Yes, it sure was. I once saw this hawk a few weeks ago, went home, got my car and when I got back as soon as I got out, off he went. Today I was a bit luckier! :)

Awesome shots!! I took some pics this morning of what I thought was a hawk...I found out it was an immature bald eagle. Such a rush seeing the big birds!

I know it - I just love them and cannot get enough of encountering them which fortunately I do daily in this area. I have an immature bald eagle living very close and he was nice enough to do some fly-bys for me recently so I could shoot him in action!

outstanding!! thank the dog for us.

Will do Rabbott, BTW, I encountered a Boston Terrier on my morning shoot with our club and got a shot of him. I used to have one when I was a kid. I featured myself as Tarzan and as far as I was concerned "Rusty" was a crocodile. I would grab Rusty and have at him with my trusty rubber knife ala Tarzan, but alas, Rusty usually got the best of the encounter! :)

My poor dog got cheated this afternoon. I was taking my dog for a walk awhile ago and we were in a rather secluded area. I looked up, and there at eye level was a beautiful red-shouldered hawk. I did a speed walk home with the dog, grabbed my camera, hurried back to the spot hoping the hawk was in no hurry and the result was about a hundred hawk shots. Here is a sampling.

Fantastic captures
