wow, I saw a video presentation of Adobe's where they showed how they fixed a photo (fast) that was blurry, but hadn't heard that it was gonna be in Elements 10...You don't remember where you read that do you?...If true, I would jump to PSE10 from PSE7 I use now.

If that little jewel is locked somewhere in PSE10, I haven't found it. Am I missing something?

It is not in PSE10 and it will appear sooner or later in a version on down the line. regards

I have to say I also would wait until Elements 11 is out. I been told it is better to upgrade every 2 to 3 years or if there is a major change. I'm using elements 9 right now and fine it does what I want.

Photoshop 10 just came out in early October. It seems to be the trend the past few years that the new release of Elements is in the Sept/Oct time frame.

The biggest upgrade in a while was in 9 -- with "true" layer masking (MUCH easier than the old work around), so if you have anything older than 9, I would suggest getting 10. If you have 9, I would probably wait till next year for 11. I only purchased 10 after having 9 since I now teach seminars - otherwise I would have waited. I've gone from 2 to 5 to 7 to 9 without feeling like I missed anything big!

Didn't think it was published yet?

In Elements 10 there is a fantastic sharpening method. I read it in a book for Elements 10 by Scott Kelby. His books are a must. You will find loads of stuff in there that you wont find in the PDF manual....You can get the books on Amazon.....

The "10" book is not released yet. I'm on the pre-ordered list for Amazon too.

I have both Photoshop Elements and Photoshop Primiere 9 and 10 and I have found them both 9 & 10 to be extremely valuable. I am glad I upgraded because 9 just doesn't have so many of 10's cool new features. You should definately invest in 10, it's so easy to lighten or darken photos, add textures and change backgrounds. Other than the two Photoshops I own, I have also used CS5 intensively. From all this experience I have acquired, I can tell you that the best places to learn are Adobe.tv.com, photoshopuser.com and Elements 10 has tutorials that you can lync to straight from the software itself. I am a self taught photographer and I learned everything I know from tutorials that I watched and studied on these sites. You have to be a paying member to use photoshopuser.com but you can buy a subscription to Elements Techniques which is a magazine that focus' only on Photoshop Elements software and it's users and you will receive free access to photoshopuser, com. It's worth every penny. photoshopscrapper.com is another good place to go for free templates and tutorials. I still haven't learned everything there is to know about my Photoshops Elements and Premiere but I love the photographic journey I'm on. Happy shooting.

Hi there! There's a couple things we can try. When you click on one of your photos, do you see a little yellow box with a question mark in the upper left corner? And when you click on it, it says the file is "missing".

If so, it means you have to "reconnect" your organizer with the actual images. (Photos are not physically stored in the Organizer -- the Organizer is a directory of files on your hard drive.) By creating a new Catalog, the "connection" from the Organizer to your hard drive was probably lost. If this is the case, then you need to re-connect the two.

Let me know if this is the case and I'll let you know what to do next.

Apparently PE10 is having an issue with the organizer that Adobe has no fix for at this time.
I think it would be prudent to wait until Adobe fixed this problem if the organizer is important to you.

I would seriously, but kindly keep harassing Adobe until they helped me out with a solution. Begging them to reconsider. I don't get it though, they usually charge $35. for assistance and they help you step by step, did you opt for that? You need to try again with Adobe and don't forget to ask with whom you are speaking and jot it down? Make notes, appeal to the 'customer is always right' rule. Ask to speak to a supervisor. Be prepared to pay $35. for the step by step help. Good luck with that and let me know what happens. You can find me on Facebook.com/AbegailMerced.

Gee why doesnt adobe tell me it has a problem instead of jerking around? I do need the organizer because i have many albums created there....Also I cannot get into any of the pix to click on one and do a search...organizer doesnt stay up that long (maybe 5 sec before it shuts down...) I havnt heard of anyone else having this problem either. any other thoughts? thx
