I found this beauty in a young maple in our front yard.

It only came out at night so I had to use a flashlight to manually focus, then turn the flashlight off and snap the picture using internal flash. (I didn't have my external flash yet.)

Nikon D60, f/5.6,SS 1/40 sec., ISO 400

Please let me know what you think!

I like it.I wonder if you could take the right side and put it on the left side, maybe invert it or something.Your very resourceful when you create a photo.

Thank you, Brian. I haven't played around with this one but I appreciate the suggestion.
I want to be clear. Are you suggesting that I flip it, or copy the right side of the web to the left side so the spider can be more centered?
Thanks again!

Sorry bygeorge! I got names mixed up...and I was just telling my wife how annoying it is when I go to reply and the person I'm replying to is not displayed on the reply page.

Thanks, Brian. I'm actually afraid of spiders, but dangit, they're just so beautiful in their own scary way...and garden spiders are some of the biggest and best!

Yes ,i haven't tried to do this but can you i guess copy it then cut it feather the edge flip the right side on the left side blend it together and see a more defined web ?
I like to play around with pp so i'll try this one day. Then again your eye would not be drawn from left to right as it is now.yeah,i like it the way you did it.Great shot.

Excellent! I'm not a spider hater, it just seems like they sneak up on me when I least expect it, every time.

Thanks for liking my evil spider, Linda!
