This is my first attempt in processing a RAW file shot with my EOS-M in Canon's DPP. I used the 18-55 EF-M lens in macro mode.
Thoughts and comments?

Aperture of f/5.6 is too narrow DoF to hold your flower in focus. Only the bottom petal comes close to focus. More light and/or increased ISO is needed for deeper DoF. Also, kit zoom lenses perform poorest at their extreme focal lengths.

Your PP tweaking looks good. It is quite similar to how I would edit as well. Exactly why I shoot raw.
Thanks for the input. My goal was to see how close I could get with the lens and to see if I could indeed process the RAW image. I agree that the flower is a little out of focus, probably because I was too close to it.
Coming from a P&S, I'm still learning the capabilities of the EOS M. That being said, my mantra is one step at a time!
