What do you mean by that.

Are you implying that poor people aren't as smart as other adults?

They will be given benefits on the card, and they will spend the funds according to their needs.

Do you want to government to tell them how to spend them?

Should they submit a budget for your approval?

Is it any of your F*ing business?

Do you want to government to tell them how to spend them? You are damn right. It's a benefit, not an earned pay!

Should they submit a budget for your approval? The government should enforce what it's for. No smokes, no liquor, no luxuries

Is it any of your F*ing business?
Absolutely - it's my money paying them

I saw a commercial for a pair of cell phones so you can keep in touch with your kid. If you have ebt you will qualify! how wrong is this. Everything has become a need not a want. I think if they did a survey on people without heath insurance I bet 99% of them have cell phones yet i still carry a regular cell not a smart phone.

No you're not, you are forgetting that the money that you have earned was never yours in the first place... let's keep things in perspective. :|

Use the free govt phone to put a little more of OUR money on it. Free 200 mins a month. It's the Chivas Regal on my dime after dinner that bothers me.
Limited to wholesome food. No tobacco, booze, electronics, govt phone, steak, lobster, airplane tickets. And I won't have a problem.

Amen Sarge--I work in a large food market and see it every day. Kids with EBT cards and get pop, chips, donuts, and candy. Adults will buy $35.00 worth of food and then pay $60.00 to $120.00 worth of boos. They really need an EBT card. It is a good program but far to much abuse with it and I am 76 years old and still have to work to survive and help pay for the cheaters EBT cards. They also buy pop on sale and dump it out in the lot and bring the cans back for deposit returns. A lot of them also have a cash side on the card, buy anything just like a credit card. I wonder at times why I work. The Gov. says they don't have much abuse-ha ha ha. Lots and lots and lots. I also think we should have a say in what they can buy as long as we help pay for it.

I'd join you on that. But....we have to think of their needs and most of those are not necessities but luxury items.
