I want to share this link with those that may have an interest in mounting a cam to your motorcycle or car or what ever... I hope it's ok to post this ? I want to ad that I'm in NO way making any money from the link. I have nothing to do with RAM other than being a very happy owner of their mounting brackets. This photo 0n the right, shows a bit of my mount. I'll post a better one later. Also you can find video clips on you tube showing the use of the mount. I'm about to place an order for a three suction cup mount so I can use it as a tripod on my motorcycle. I'd like to say, If all you have to say about this product is on the neg side, please don't respond at all. Thanks

I took a look and it might work. I guess it depends on which kind of camera you plan to mount. I have tossed around the idea of a helmet cam but this may be better I don't know. The prices are more than reasonable. Thanks for sharing it's worth looking into further. Let us know how you like it when you can try it out.

I've used Ram mounts on my Goldwing for Garmin and drink cups but moving camera shots through a plexiglass windshield would not be the greatest I would think. Video might be fair.

Do you use a GoPro. If you do, do you find that these mounts are superior to what GoPro offers?

I cant give an honest answer because I'm not a go pro user yet. I have been looking into the go pro, but there are other action cams out there and it's really hard to decide. I'm watching videos, and reading what other users are saying, and I'll get the one that has the best score. So far, Go Pro is in the lead. I have looked at the mounting brackets for the Go Pro and like what I see. As far as RAM Mounts go, I like them because they are made very well. And they have a mount for just about anything. I'm going to purchase the three suction cup mount and will use it as a tripod on my motorcycle when parked. I can ad my ram arms that I already have.

I've used GoPro adhesive mounts with the camera on my motorcycle windscreen. At track days I've hit 135-140 and have not lost a camera yet. The RAM mounts look very good also. I'm intrigued.

I use a few different Ram mounts on my Harley. I mostly use a gopro set on still images only. As great as the mounts are, rough roads make video a bit bumpy.

You would think so.....

But instead of having video bumping up and down, you have video swinging side to side as you look around while you ride.

for me that is one of the advantages of helmet mount, while i'm flying. after you watch a couple of video's. it's easy to appreciate turning your head. get to record everything that caught the eye.

I agree on the helmet cam mount. I used my action cam and shot video catching scenes that you would only catch while being able to turn your head pretty quick. True there is the quick jerking affect but hey, at least ya got what you wanted. Also the helmet mount does reduce all lot of the bouncing affect. Sense I ride a Goldwing 1800, I really don't have that big of a problem. Not saying that the Goldwing rides like your riding on air, but they come close IMHO.....
