The D60 is a nice camera Garry. It should get you pretty far in your learning. You have 10.2 MP's. I use a D300s and it does everything I need at 12.3MP's. It is the glass you should be getting right now. Good glass will out live the best cameras. I have been shooting Nikon sense 1965. And have all the old lenses that still work on the 300's. My last film camera was a F6. So I have the good 2.8 AF lenses from that camera. Plus you never have enough glass. So all in all I have close to 50+ lenses.:):)
The 2 lenses you have are good lenses, but not for low light. As you grow in the hobby you will want faster lenses. And you will pay for going the way, but it will be worth every penny in the long run.

Heh! Thanks, Erv. I did that after I first replied to you.
I have a Nikon D60 right now. Two lenses, 18-55 5.6 and 55-200 5.6. I want to buy another lens soon, but it's just not in our budget right now. I'd like a newer camera, but that's going to be a bit in the future...
