I'm always photographing ibises pecking away on the ground or just standing there. Sometimes I get them in flight, but they all look alike. Today, I thought this one in a tree looked a bit more unique than the usual ibis shot that I get. For those who have not seen it and are interested, I also include an ibis portrait that I took a few weeks ago.

Thanks, those beaks ARE seriously long and quite efficient at digging out food.

Thanks Sue, I was really happy to capture that one and a bunch of other unique in-the-tree poses this afternoon rather than the usual type ibis shots I get of them pecking away at the ground or just standing there!

Thanks HT, I got some good ones of that guy in the tree today with various wing spreads and attitudes. Just across the water from our gator friend! :)
