This scandal is a beauty.
Screw the citizens of NJ his aides are quoted in e mails. We are going to punish Ft. Lee citizens because their mayor did not endorse our governor for re-election.
It is thinking like that that will always keep the Republicans on the outside, looking in.
And of course Christie denies any knowledge of what happened.
It was the people who worked for me, not me he is now saying.
Yeah, sure.
The good thing is,,, he is considered a moderate Republican. Wow,, look at his stands on the issues and he is considered moderate??
This will make it easier for one of the Republican wing nuts to win the nomination, thus insuring that the Republicans will not win the White House in 2016. :):)

You are jumping the gun a little there, aren't you? Shouldn't you wait to see were this is going? I don't care much for him either but it is too soon to be condemning him.

This is characteristic of those in power. They don't attain power by helping the populace necessarily. They use emotion to get to power, and then proceed to benefit them and theirs only. It's terminal and there is no hope for them.

Do you have inside knowledge that Christie was in on this retribution?

Or are you.....

1 - helping spread lies and rumors?

2 - a republican hater?

3 - weak and try to raise your self esteem by making others look bad?

4 - just hoping it's true?

Hear! Hear! I'm mostly progressive in my views, but I think EVERYONE on both sides jumps too quickly to invent a scandal. Christie is certainly a conservative I could vote for if....... Even if he did "zing" a political foe, noone died, no disaster occurred and history is rife with political pranks that now make us smile or at least shake our heads. Keep calm folks, its a long way to the fall of 2016

Supposed to be a news conference today. I'm hoping it's some over zealous employees who thought they were doing him a favor, kind of like the characters at the IRS who thought they'd help Obama with certain audits.

I love three words you said..... "invent a scandal". It seems that people are always deemed guilty before the truth comes out......but by then their reputation is ruined.

There is too much of this going on in America (especially between the two parties) and I think America is suffering because of it.

Absolutely correct in my opinion!! That's the way many get to feel warm all over by bashing, regardless of the complete facts or the facts as stated by a less than 'stellar' source.

LOL Not sure what is going on in NJ but one thing is for sure, Obama sics the IRS onto republicans and the press bumbles through the affair, can't seem to investigate anything, IRS officials respond to congressional hearings with contempt and condensation, and not a single official is fired even though there is evidence of felony activity.... Christie's minions create a traffic jam and the press does its job, digs deep for the facts... and people wonder why there is no confidence in the press... LOL

Personally I hope it does blow his chances in a presidential run, he is anything but a conservative.

I would also note Richard, your bigoted contempt towards fat people. I don't think it appropriate for you to spread your bigotry and bile on a pubic forum such as this.

Amen, Dave - and no one within the IRS is admitting anything! (Their new leader, however, just yesterday asked for an increase in his budget!) http://thehill.com/blogs/on-the-money/domestic-taxes/194533-new-irs-chief-to-battle-for-more-funding

He also is wanting to close the investigations of the TeaParty.

Not a Christy fan. However, will say I am glad he didn't do any BS Democratic ploy as his response. Specifically I am glad he did not place any one on PAID ADMINISTRATVE SUSPENSION, or promote the offenders out of the position they abused, with a significant pay raise.

No, he FIRED, PUBLICALLY FIRED the offender, and took ownership of his administration.

Well done!

Yes, you may have a point... "always has been as crooked as they come..." After all he was a US attorney working for the DOJ.. That alone under the current administration would suggest corruption. Maybe it has always been that way.
