Hi everyone,

I never realised how many replies that this got until I looked at the stats tonight.

During the two years I have learned a lot of new things to try and discovered what I am interested and what to avoid (Such as portraits of females - "Just a moment while I put my lippy on!"

Also discovered some good online courses to let me make use of some photos that were not necessarily sharp as a tack. Now turn them into textures and such to use in creating composites.

Slowly improving. Let me know what you think.

Bill

visit museums every chance you get.
this will teach you about composition and light. note jww turner's use of light in his ocean and sail craft paintings.

Excellent advice: painters create subject matter, composition and light with intention. There is nothing else. Then when you see it, you'll "know" it.
