Lightroom is an excellent photo editing software package and I highly recommend it! When my dslr goes with me, I always take a spare camera battery, a spare memory card and an extra set of batteries for my flash.
I wouldn't get any lens to replace your kit lens, but you might want something longer like the 70-300 or 55-250 eventually. The kit lens is actually much better than than it gets credit for. I would recommend not buying ANY extra lenses unless you know what you want to do that you can't do with the kit lens. A remote shutter release can be fun, but you can use the timer on your camera.
The number one thing you can do is to read your manual and learn your camera inside and out. This forum is a great place to ask questions.
