A few raptors with some pp & play in PSE12. Plus another "littlehorn" living dangerously.
With thanks to John Lawrence for the term "littlehorn" :)
Canon SX50, most in burst mode.
Rough-legged hawk was taking off from a telephone pole with a couple of wires - and the sky was white. A lot of pp work here for a heavily cropped, unsharp image, but it's good practice and sometimes even fun :)
Immature bald eagle. Slight poster edges effect.
American Kestrel was sitting on a telephone wire. Cut & pasted the branch :)
Pretty sure these barriers are to keep rocks from tumbling onto the road - not for you to use as a handy jump-off!
Where is your family, little one??
Nice series, Linda. Good job on the PP. Whilst you're at it, maybe you could also consider doing a little burning or dodging to the background of the first 'littlehorn' shot, so that he stands out a bit better? Just a thought.

Ah - excellent suggestion, Randy. Thanks so much.
I'm pretty sure you're just being nice with the "good job" comment :) Sometimes I embarrass myself with what I'm willing to share on UHH - LOL
His mother needs to teach him about cars! Nice photos and PP Linda, glad you are having fun!

Thanks for viewing, Hope. Have a long, long way to go with the pp skills - ha.
I have to find out what's up with these on-their-own youngsters. Ostracized from the herd if mama dies? It was tough seeing this one yesterday. We kept yelling at it to get out of the road.

I hope they make it! Sounds like a rough way to grow up.

Thanks so much! She just sat on the telephone wire and watched the area while I stayed in the car and crept closer :) I was hoping it'd catch breakfast and return to the same perch, but maybe another day.
Good set Linda I especially like the Kestrel.

Thanks so much, Jim. They rival your robins for the "cute" factor, don't you think? :)
Excellent set, you did fantastic pp job!
